Position as Permit Officer

About the Unit
The Implementation Department's Permit Section, J3 Permits, has the main task of handling issues regarding diplomatic permits for the Armed Forces' operations in other countries as well as processing and making decisions about access to Swedish territory for foreign personnel and state vessels from other countries. The work is carried out in close cooperation with other units within the Armed Forces, with parallel authorities as well as with the Government Offices and Swedish foreign missions. The section handles approximately 15,000 cases annually and consists of about fifteen employees with a strong team spirit and a focus on common results.
Main Responsibilities
- Apply for diplomatic permits to other countries and process applications for access to Swedish territory
- Be the point of contact for embassies, authorities, and the Government Offices in permit matters
- Lead training both internally within the Armed Forces and externally towards other authorities on permit management
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- At least a relevant bachelor's degree in the social sciences or international law
- Current and relevant experience in case management at a government authority
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Very good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

- Experience of service in the Government Offices and/or at a foreign mission
